Class hour "greed is the beginning of all grief." “Greed” essay Come up with a story on the topic of greed for everyone

Should a child be “weaned off being greedy”?

I think that what is most often mistaken for children’s greed (protection of their boundaries, their toys) is the child’s natural desire for “selfhood,” to find himself through “his” things, “his” toys, “his” mom and dad . This is a natural stage of growing up, and weaning will not only be unnecessary, but also harmful.

These same stories rather show the child what real greed is all about. What is true wealth? What is the difference between greed and a sense of ownership and when being greedy is neither interesting nor good.

If you have similar fairy tales or stories in your “piggy bank”, send them to or write in the comments. Other parents will thank you!

*Stories about greed were collected by Tamara Lombina - hLeningrad of the Writers' Union of Russia, candidate of psychological sciences.

Japanese fairy tale

A poor man and a rich man lived in the same village. The rich man had a lot of money.

Once a rich man invited a poor man to come to him. The poor man thinks: “No way, he decided to give me a gift. That’s why he’s calling.” He came and said:

– What a blessing it is to have so much money!

“What are you talking about,” the rich man replies, “what happiness this is!” I just thought that the richest man in our village is you! You have two wealth: the first is health, the second is children. And I only have money. What kind of rich man am I?

The poor man listened and listened, and thought: “It’s true, I’m not that poor.” And he went home and told the old woman about everything. The old woman just clasped her hands:

“Didn’t you, old man, know that the greatest happiness is children and health?”

“We lived our lives happily,” the old people decided.

“You and I are so rich, we gave all the kids gifts!” - the old man and the old woman rejoiced.

Since then they were called poor rich in the village.

Greed.
Afghan tale

Once upon a time there lived a very rich man. But he was so greedy that he spared even his own bread.

One day someone invited him to visit. The rich man went. The owner of the house served many different dishes, and the guest began to eat.

First he tried the meat and ate a lot of it, because it was spicy, tasty and he really liked it. Then they served some kind of flour dish that just melted in your mouth. The miser ate it too. Then it was time for eggs and noodles.

Whatever was on the table, the rich man gave it its due.

After dinner, the owner served various fruits - apricots, melons, grapes, pears. The miser looked at them with hungry eyes, as if he had never seen such things in his life. In the end, he ate all the fruit.

After he filled his belly with hot and cold food, he wanted to drink.

The rich man barely had time to pour his glasses. He drank so much that his stomach was swollen - it was about to burst. With the last of his strength, with great difficulty, the miser dragged himself home.

After some time he became very ill.

The family got scared:

- But look, he’s going to die. We ran for the doctor.

- Haven't you eaten too much? - asks the doctor.

“Yes,” answered the rich man, “I was visiting and had a good lunch there.”

- What have you done?! - exclaimed the doctor. “The food is foreign, but your stomach is your own!”

- Yes it is. But there were so many treats and everything was so delicious!

Is it conceivable to refuse a delicious and free lunch?

“Okay,” the doctor grinned, “what happened is past.” Now you need to take a medicine that will remove excess food from you.

- Oh no, I don’t want that kind of medicine! Now, if you find a medicine that improves digestion, go ahead! And if not, well, it’s easier to die on a full stomach. And there will be no other harm to me. You are free, go yourself.

The cutlet is like a stone

This was during a difficult year - immediately after the war.

Today the third grade is going to the forest. Maria Nikolaevna scheduled a meeting at school. Everyone arrived before sunrise.

Everyone has a bag of food - bread, onions, boiled potatoes, and some guys even have lard. The children laid out all the contents of their bags, wrapped them in a large sheet of paper and put them in a duffel bag. The children decided: we are one team, one family, why should everyone sit over their own bundle?

Lenya also put his piece of bread, a few potatoes and a pinch of salt in his duffel bag. But there was still a package with a cutlet in my pocket. The mother wrapped it in paper and said: eat it so no one can see.

Children played in the forest, read a book, and told fairy tales around the fire.

Then they laid out all the supplies on a large tablecloth and sat down to dinner. Next to Lenya sat Maya, a thin, white-haired girl. Her father died at the front - on the last day of the war. Everyone got a small piece of bacon. Maya cut her piece in half and gave half to Lena.

It seemed to the boy that what he had in his pocket, wrapped in paper, was not a cutlet, but a stone.

When the children had lunch, Maria Nikolaevna said:

- Children, collect the paper and burn it.

When the paper was collected and folded into a pile, Lenya quietly threw his bundle with the cutlet into the trash.

Greedy boy

Once upon a time there lived a very greedy boy. He walks down the street and sees ice cream being sold. The boy stood up and thought: “If someone gave me a hundred servings of ice cream, that would be good.”

Suitable for school. In a quiet deserted alley, his gray-haired grandfather suddenly catches up with him and asks:

- Did you want a hundred servings of ice cream?

The boy was surprised. Hiding his confusion, he said:

- Yes... If someone gave money...

“You don’t need money,” said grandfather. - Behind that willow tree there are a hundred servings of ice cream.

Grandfather disappeared, as if he had never existed. The boy looked behind the willow and in surprise even dropped his briefcase with books to the ground. There was a box of ice cream under the tree. The boy quickly counted a hundred packages wrapped in silver paper.

The boy's hands trembled from greed. He ate one, two, third servings. He couldn't eat anymore, his stomach hurt.

- What to do? - the boy thinks.

He took books out of his briefcase and threw them under the willow tree. He filled his briefcase with shiny packages. But they didn't fit in the briefcase. It was such a pity to leave them that the boy began to cry. Sits near the willow and cries.

Ate two more servings. I trudged towards the school.

I walked into the classroom, put my briefcase down, and the ice cream began to melt. Milk flowed from the briefcase.

The boy had a thought: maybe he should give the ice cream to his comrades? This thought was driven away by greed: is it possible to give such goodness to someone?

A boy sits over a briefcase, and it leaks. And the greedy boy thinks: will such wealth really perish?

Let those who have a little worm settled somewhere in their soul - greed - think about this fairy tale. This is a very scary worm.

Two greedy bear cubs.
Hungarian fairy tale

On the other side of the glass mountains, behind the silk meadow, stood an untrodden, unprecedented dense forest. In this untrodden, unprecedented dense forest, in its thicket, lived an old bear. She had two sons. When the cubs grew up, they decided that they would go around the world to seek their fortune.

At first they went to their mother and, as expected, said goodbye to her. The old bear hugged her sons and told them never to part with each other.

The cubs promised to fulfill their mother’s orders and set off on their way.

They walked and walked. And they went on and on for another day. Finally, all their supplies ran out. The cubs are hungry. They wandered side by side dejectedly.

- Oh, brother, how hungry I am! – the younger one complained.

- And I want to! - said the elder.

So they kept walking and walking, and suddenly they found a large round head of cheese. They wanted to divide it equally, but failed. Greed overcame the cubs: each was afraid that the other would get more.

They argued and growled, and suddenly a fox approached them. -What are you arguing about, young people? - asked the fox.

The cubs told her about their trouble.

- What a disaster! - said the fox. - Let me divide the cheese equally for you: the youngest and the eldest are all the same to me.

“That’s good,” the cubs were delighted. “Delhi!”

The fox took the cheese and broke it into two parts. But she split the head so that one piece - it was even visible to the eye - was larger than the other.

The cubs shouted:

- This one is bigger!

The fox reassured them:

- Quiet, young people! And this is not a problem. I'll sort everything out now.

She took a good bite of most of it and swallowed it. Now the smaller piece has become larger.

- And so uneven! – the cubs became worried.

“Well, that’s enough,” said the fox. - I know my stuff!

- And she took a bite from most of it. Now the larger piece has become smaller.

- And so uneven! - the cubs shouted.

- May it be for you! - said the fox, moving her tongue with difficulty, since her mouth was full of delicious cheese. - Just a little more - and it will be equal.

The fox continued to divide the cheese.

And the cubs only led their black noses back and forth, back and forth - from a larger piece to a smaller one, from a smaller piece to a larger one.

Until the fox had eaten her fill, she divided and divided everything.

But then the pieces became equal, and the cubs had almost no cheese left: two tiny pieces.

“Well,” said the fox, “even if it’s little by little, but equally!” Bon appetit, cubs! – and wagging her tail, she ran away.

This is what happens to those who are greedy!

Plowman and Mole

The plowman plowed the land. The Mole crawled out of his hole and was surprised: a large field had already been plowed, and the Plowman kept plowing and plowing. The Mole decided to see how much land the Man had plowed. The Mole walked across the plowed field. He walked until the evening, but did not reach the end of the field. Returned to the hole. In the morning he crawled out of the hole, sat down on the road, waiting for the Plowman with a plow to ask him:

- Why did you plow such a large field and continue to plow more?

The plowman answers:

– I plow not only for myself, but also for people.

The Mole was surprised:

- Why do you plow people? Let everyone work for themselves. So I dig a hole for myself, and every Mole digs a hole for himself too.

“But you are moles, we are people,” answered the Plowman and began a new furrow.

Metal ruble

Tato gave Andreika a metal ruble and said:

– When you return from school, you will go to the store and buy sugar and butter.

Andreika put the ruble in his jacket pocket and forgot about it. During physical education class, he undressed and threw his jacket on the grass.

After class I remembered: I need to go to the store. I put my hand in my pocket, but there was no ruble. Andreika got scared, turned pale and stood there, unable to utter a word. The guys ask:

– What’s wrong with you, Andreika?

The boy told about his trouble. The comrades knew that Andreika’s father was harsh and would beat the boy.

“Let’s help Andreika,” Tanya said. - Whoever has money, give it to me.

Let's collect a ruble!

Everyone reached into their pocket. Some found ten, some fifteen, some found five kopecks. Only Stepan said:

- We must save money. If he lost it himself, let him think what to do. I won't give you a penny.

He turned his back to everyone and went home.

The guys counted the money collected - ninety-nine kopecks. We all went to the store together and bought sugar and butter.

Andreika returned home joyful.

The next day no one wanted to sit next to Stepan. He was left alone.

Stepan complained to the teacher.

- Why doesn’t anyone want to sit with me?

“Ask your comrades,” answered the teacher.

Misha's bike

They bought Misha a bicycle. And he lives next to the school. There is a garden between his parents’ house and the school estate, so there is nowhere to go. Misha brought his bicycle to school like a horse on a bridle.

The boys surrounded Misha. They felt the wheels, pedals, steering wheel, and flashlight.

Everyone liked the bike. Everyone was jealous of Misha.

“Well, go for a ride,” Fedya said and walked away from the bike, as if he didn’t want to ride.

“Do you think I really want to ride it?” – Misha asked indifferently. - Take it, try it.

Joyful Fedya took the steering wheel, got on his bike and rode around the school stadium. I rode until the bell rang for class.

Ivan skated at the first break, Stepan at the second, Sergei at the third, and Olya at the fourth.

We stayed skating after school too. The bicycle passed from hand to hand. By four o'clock everyone had skated.

Misha brought the bike home at half past five, like a horse on a bridle.

– Where have you been skating so far? - Mom was surprised. - Is that possible?

- I didn’t even ride...

- How - didn’t you ride?

- The boys were skating... And the girls...

Mom sighed with relief and said as if to herself:

“The only thing I was afraid of was that you would ride alone.”

Apple in the autumn garden

In late autumn, little sisters Olya and Nina walked in the apple orchard. It was a quiet sunny day. Almost all the leaves from the apple trees had fallen and rustled quietly underfoot. Only here and there were yellowed leaves left on the trees.

The girls approached a large apple tree. Next to the yellow leaf they saw a large red apple.

Olya and Nina screamed with joy.

– How was it preserved? – Olya was surprised.

“Now we’ll rip it off,” said Nina.

The girls picked an apple. Olya wanted her to get the apple, but she restrained herself and offered:

- Let the apple be yours, Nina.

Nina also wanted the apple to be hers, but Nina also said:

- Let your apple be yours, Olya...

The apple passed from hand to hand. But then it occurred to both of them

thought:

- Let's give the apple to mom.

They ran to their mother, joyful and excited. They gave her the apple.

Joy shone in the mother's eyes.

Mom cut an apple and gave the girls half each.

Option 1:
In principle, I am not a fan of various kinds of applications to a literary text, such as prefaces, afterwords, etc. A work of art must be an absolutely complete object both in form and in essence, like painting or like music, i.e., speaking for itself, perceived without auxiliary comments. However, in practice there are occasions when one inevitably has to resort to a preliminary word in order to clarify certain issues.
It was precisely this kind of incidents concerning the fate of my books that occurred twice in my creative life, when I, of my own free will, considered it necessary to turn to the genre of the preface. After reading the proposed preface to the story “Face to Face,” the reader, I hope, will understand what caused this. I also hope that the preface, preserved for the original edition of “And the Day Lasts Longer than a Century,” will explain to the reader in many ways the necessity of the preface at that time.
Here I would like to dwell mainly on the history of the novel “And Longer...

Sasha Luzhaikin had no friends. Maybe because he was considered greedy? A friend for Sasha was found in an unexpected way. It was thanks to a friend that Sasha’s character began to change.

A tale of greed

Once upon a time there lived a boy, Sasha Luzhaikin. Sasha was a good boy, but greedy. He never shared treats with friends and did not let him play with his toys.

- Here’s another idea - to treat someone! – Sasha was angry to himself. – And why is this necessary? They treat each other, smile and laugh at the same time. What kind of joy? It’s much nicer: you took it yourself and ate it yourself. You'll get more for yourself.

But then one day something incredible happened. Mom and dad went to a concert. Grandmother sat down in a chair and began to knit, but quickly dozed off. And at this time it began to rain heavily. And suddenly Sasha saw some small strange creature outside the window, getting wet from the rain. Sasha's curiosity awoke and he opened the window. The creature ended up in the boy's room.

- Who are you? – asked Sasha.

- I am Veselinka, and who are you?

- And I'm Sasha.

- Do you have a friend? – the guest asked.

“No,” said Sasha. “Everyone says that I’m greedy, and that’s why I don’t have a friend.”

“You’re not greedy at all,” said Veselinka. “Such a nice boy can’t be greedy.” I know that the greedy are the wolf and the fox. They will never share their prey with anyone.

Sasha thought about it.

He was interested in Veselinka. She was bright and cheerful. She could become a good friend.

In the evening, Sasha put a handful of sweets in his trouser pocket. He decided to treat the guys tomorrow. It’s not his time to be greedy!

The treat was accepted with joy. The children thanked Sasha, and only one boy, Dima Kopeikin, asked:

- What happened to you? Why did you suddenly become so generous?

- First of all, I made a friend. And secondly, I'm tired of being greedy.

Dima said:

- We want to meet your new friend.

In the evening, a noisy company ended up visiting Sasha. Everyone liked Veselinka, because she had a kind, cheerful disposition.

- She will teach you a lot of good things! - the guys exclaimed. – Because she looks at the world from a kind, sunny side!

Questions and tasks for the fairy tale

How did Sasha's greed manifest itself?

Did Sasha have a friend?

How did Vasilinka end up in Sasha’s house?

For what reason did the guys come to Sasha’s house?

Draw how you see Veselinka.

What proverbs fit the fairy tale?

Whoever you hang out with, that's how you'll gain.
Greed is the beginning of all vices.

The mother of one boy was bought a new dress, earrings, and shoes with slender heels. Mom put it on, dad gasped: “Let’s go for a walk down the street, let everyone see what a beautiful wife I have.” "Went!" - Mom was happy. The boy's parents went down to the yard. Dad’s neighbors saw Mom in a new dress and began to envy: “Wow! Cool! Waste! Not a weak wife! Where did you get this?” “You haven’t seen yet,” Dad boasted, “how she dances, and you haven’t heard her sing. If we tried her cutlets, we’d die of envy!” Mom smiled. Dad still wanted to brag about his wife, but the boy, who heard everything, looked out of the open window and made a remark to dad: “It’s not good to brag, it’s tactless. Maybe someone doesn’t have such a wonderful wife, he’s offended.” “I,” one acquaintance admitted, “don’t have such a wife.” “I don’t have any,” said another acquaintance, “I’m even more offended.” “You see, dad, boasting is a bad character trait. If you brag, no one will be friends with you.” “I won’t,” Dad promised, “I’ll just take a walk down the street with Mom and that’s all.” “Can I,” one acquaintance asked, “can I just walk around the yard with your wife, just for a minute, for a walk?” If she doesn't mind, of course."
Mom shrugged her shoulders and looked at dad. "No you can not! - Dad wanted to shout, but when he saw that the boy was looking disapprovingly at him from the window, he changed his mind. “Okay, just not far, to that pillar and back.” An acquaintance took my mother’s arm and politely led her to the post. Dad endured it for a whole minute, then he couldn’t stand it, he ran, caught up with the couple, and walked alongside. “It’s not fair,” the friend remarked, carefully leading my mother across the small puddle. - We didn’t agree that way. The three of us are already walking, it doesn’t count.” Dad sighed and left. The acquaintance slowly brought my mother to the post and took her back even more slowly. "Go faster!" - Dad shouted to him. “You can’t go faster,” the friend objected. – We’re not in a hurry to get home from work, we’re going for a walk. They walk slowly." Shifting impatiently from foot to foot, dad waited until his friend finally brought mom to him. “Give me your wife!” - Dad demanded. “The minute is long over.” “No, we didn’t walk from here, from that bench,” an acquaintance did not give up my mother. Near the bench, dad wanted to take mom’s arm, but another friend pushed him away: “Where without a queue?” “What’s the line?” - Dad was scared. - “Walk with my wife!” Dad looked around and saw his friends lined up along the entire bench in a long tail. “No,” dad said quietly, “this is not your wife. My! I don’t want you all to go out with her.” - “Yes, we are not all at once, one by one.” - “Still no!” - "Do not be greedy. What, are you sorry? “Yes,” dad muttered, blushing. - it's a pity. We're going home." Mom took dad's hand. Dad walked as scarlet as a poppy, and mom walked with a very serious face, trying her best not to laugh. "Greedy! - friends shouted after dad. “He lived, he’s a miser!” Dad turned around and stuck his tongue out at them. The boy from the window heard and saw everything. At home, when the laughing mother went into the kitchen to fry cutlets, the boy approached his father and put his hand on his knee: “You did the wrong thing,” the boy said, “you were greedy.” It's not beautiful. Friends won't respect you." "Let it go! - Dad frowned. “I’ll go for a walk with my mother, alone.” “Greed is a disgusting character trait,” the boy sighed. “We have to fight it.” “Mom is my wife,” Dad said stubbornly, “not theirs.” “Here,” the boy sighed, ““mine”, “mine”, “not yours” - the greedy’s favorite words. Look, if you won’t be able to overcome greed, you’ll stop respecting yourself. Think about it". In the evening, mom fed the boy and dad dinner, dad chewed cutlets, listened to mom humming her favorite song, and thought that he would probably soon have to completely stop respecting himself. He looked at his mother and realized that he would never, ever be able to overcome his greed.

The problem is the ability to share with others

In a distant magical land, there lived an evil sorceress Zlogulya. All day long she caused all sorts of troubles and troubles for people. And there was no greater joy for her than to see someone's tears or upset face. Other people's sorrows only added strength to her: the more she harmed, the more powerful she became. Of course, she couldn’t do all the nasty things alone, she needed helpers. She looked for them among bad people. As soon as a person did something bad, Zlogulya immediately joyfully rubbed her hands and said:

Here is my servant for tomorrow! Oh, and we'll do a lot of things with him!

In the evenings, she brewed a magic potion in a huge black cauldron; it smelled disgusting and gurgled loudly. When the potion cooled, it turned into a transparent jelly, in which Zlogulya, as in a mirror, saw her new assistants.

And then one late summer evening she saw the girl Anya in her magic cauldron. Actually, she was a good girl, but very greedy. She never gave anything to anyone.

If Anya went out into the yard with a ball, she always hid it behind her back.

Anya, Anya,” the guys shouted. - It’s great that you brought the ball out. Let's play together!

No, answered Anya. - I'm not giving it. I don't have any ball!

If Anya went out with a bicycle, she never let her ride.

Anya, Anya! - the guys shouted. – What a beautiful bike you have! Let's go for a ride!

“I won’t,” Anya answered and quickly left.

As soon as Zlogulya saw the greedy Anya, she was immediately delighted and began to cast a spell:

Tirli, birli,

Snort, snort!

Toads, flies,

Evil spirits,

I'll sprinkle ashes on you

Turn into an evil whirlwind!

Fly to the greedy girl,

Harm good people!

A black column of dust rose from the magic cauldron, crumbled into small particles, turned into a huge scary crow and flew out the window with an eerie croak.

In the morning, Anya had breakfast as always and went out into the yard for a walk. Today she took a brand new scooter with her.

Everyone will be jealous, she thought. - I will never give it to anyone!

She rode along the paths and stuck out her tongue at the children running after her.

Let me go for a ride, let me go for a ride, please! - the guys shouted.

But Anya just shook her head and giggled. Finally, she got tired and sat down to rest. Friends immediately approached her:

Anya, you’re not skating right now anyway, please give me a minute. We'll just try!

“Nope,” answered Anya. - This is my scooter. I won't give it to anyone!

A black crow sitting on a tall birch tree croaked loudly and waved its wing. And suddenly something terrible began on the playground! Children who always played together began to take their toys from each other.

This is my car, give it back! - shouted a little boy in yellow pants.

Give me back my tractor! - another little boy in a blue cap answered him.

On the edge of the site the boys were playing football. It was just fun there, and suddenly the tall red-haired boy knitted his eyebrows angrily:

This is my ball! Give it back immediately, don't kick my ball!

He took the ball and ran home. And after him, all the children quarreled, fought, collected their toys and also left. Everyone sat at home, played with their toys and thought:

This is only mine, I won’t give it to anyone!

Anya looked around in surprise. The site was quiet, empty and boring. She also took a scooter and returned home.

And at home grandma baked pies.

Why are you so early, Anyuta? - asked the grandmother.

“Everyone left,” said the girl. - Nobody wants to play.

Perhaps you didn’t let anyone ride again? – Grandma shook her head.

“I didn’t,” Anya confirmed. - This is my scooter! Why should I share?

Kar! - shouted the black crow, sitting behind the glass on the windowsill.

And rightly so,” the grandmother suddenly said. – You don’t need to share anything with anyone!

Yes,” Anya was delighted. She liked that her grandmother agreed with her and did not quarrel as always. - Grandma, can I have a pie?

What more! - Grandmother was indignant. - These are my pies. I baked them, I'll eat them! I don't want to share!

“Wow,” Anya was scared. - Grandma, you always treated me.

So what? - Grandma was surprised. “And I changed my mind about sharing with you.”

“Grandfather,” Anya ran to complain to her grandfather. - But my grandmother doesn’t give me pies.

Has our grandmother really become as greedy as you? – Grandfather smiled, leafing through his favorite book with beautiful pictures. Anya loved to sit on his lap and look at the strange fish and animals that were drawn there. But today grandfather suddenly slammed the book right in front of her nose and said sternly:

Don't touch my book! And don't look at my pictures!

Wow, Anya thought and went to her room.

In the evening my mother returned from work. She bought a new doll for Anya, but did not want to give it away.

“I bought it,” said my mother, unwrapping the beautiful box and taking out the doll. - So she’s mine. So I will play it!

What is going on? – Anya got upset and went to watch “Good night, kids!”

But dad was sitting in front of the TV:

This is my TV! - he said to Anya. - Only I can watch it.

Anya was completely scared. She sat down on her bed and cried. Suddenly someone purred and rubbed against her leg:

Oh, it's you Murka! Did you see what was happening?

I saw it! - Murka answered.

Can you talk? – Anya couldn’t believe her ears.

Actually, no,” said Murka. “But someone bewitched us all, so I became a speaker.”

Good for you, but today no one gives me anything all day! – Anya sobbed.

Nothing good. They didn't even give me milk today. Grandfather said that this was his milk, since he went to the store for it. I took it and drank it all! – the cat said offended and sighed sadly.

Who could bewitch us? – Anya became worried.

I don’t know, I’ll go ask my friends,” Murka answered and left.

When it began to get dark, she returned:

I found out everything. An enchanted crow appeared in our yard, sent by the evil sorceress Zlogulya. Everyone who lives here is under the spell of greed. When the greediest man in our yard became greedy for the first time, the crow said “punishment”, and the witchcraft began to work.

So what should we do now? – Anya was scared.

We need to find who it all started with. Who is our greediest? – asked Murka.

“I don’t know,” Anya shrugged. - We'll have to find out tomorrow.

Yes, otherwise we won’t be able to defeat the Evil One. If evil people help her, then she can take over the whole world! It is necessary for the evil to become kind, the pugnacious - peaceful, the disobedient - obedient, and the greedy - generous.

As soon as it was light, Anya jumped out into the yard and saw an amazing picture. All the children played only with their toys, no one spoke to anyone, everyone sat on different benches, and it was quiet and boring in the yard.

Anya climbed onto the plastic red slide and screamed from there:

Guys! We urgently need to find out who is the greediest in the yard!

Now we are all the greediest here,” the boy Dima answered sadly.

And before, when we all played together, who was the greediest? – asked Anya.

You! – the children shouted in unison.

I? – Anya didn’t believe it. - Can't be!

You, you,” confirmed Dima. “We always shared everything with each other, and you were the only one who never gave anything to anyone: not a scooter, not a bicycle, not candy, not a ball!”

“Oh,” Anya was upset. “It turns out that it’s all because of me, it’s all my fault!” I'm coming now!

She got off the slide and ran home. First, Anya brought out the ball and candy:

Let's play together! Here, help yourself!

Kar, kar,” the crow flapped its wings.

Ah, there you are! – Anya shouted and threw a ball at her.

The crow cawed even louder and sat down at the very top of the tree.

Well, hold on,” Anya exclaimed and ran home. First she brought out the scooter, and then the bicycle.

Let's take turns riding! – she suggested to the guys.

Kar-kar-kar,” the crow screamed for the last time and suddenly turned into a column of black dust, and then toads, flies and all sorts of nasty things fell from the birch tree to the ground. Then the whole pile burst into purple fire and disappeared.

Bang! – thundered somewhere far away. It was Zlogulya's magic cauldron that exploded.

A warm wind flew in from somewhere and dispersed the gray clouds. The bright sun shone again over the playground where the children were playing together.

In the evening the whole family sat in front of the TV and ate grandma's pies. Anya looked at her grandfather's picture book with her new doll. A well-fed Murka slept next to a saucer of milk. The witchcraft dissipated, and she no longer spoke, but only meowed.

From that day on, Anya was never greedy again.
