Any accountant needs to have a production calendar for 2018 on hand. After all, it is on the basis of this calendar that the standard working time for the next year is determined. Moreover, the Russian production calendar for 2018 with weekends and holidays will allow you to distribute working days, keep time sheets and control working hours. In this material you can view and download the production calendar for 2018 with a five-day and six-day working week.

Production calendar: what is it

The concept of “production calendar” is inextricably linked with working time. After all, the production calendar marks all working and non-working days (weekends and holidays). Therefore, based on the production calendar, organizations and individual entrepreneurs can organize the working hours of their employees in 2018.

For ease of use, the production calendar contains both general quarterly information about the number of working days and weekends, as well as information for each month. If we talk about an accountant, this information allows him to accurately and quickly calculate wages, pay sick leave, calculate vacation or draw up a work schedule. As for employees, they can choose the most favorable period for vacation. In other words, the production calendar for 2018 is a universal document that can become the basis for the rational distribution of working time and for maintaining a time sheet in the next year.

Such a concept as a “production calendar” is not approved by the legislation of the Russian Federation. That’s why they don’t call it “in public”. Among other names of the production calendar there are, for example:

  • Working days calendar;
  • Time calendar;
  • Labor calendar;
  • Work calendar;
  • Working time calendar;
  • Working hours calendar;
  • Calendar of annual working hours.

Approval of the production calendar for 2018

The production calendar for 2018 is not approved as an official document. There is neither a federal law nor a government decree, annex to which would be a production calendar for the next year available for viewing and downloading.

At the same time, Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation defines non-working holidays, and the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 14, 2017 No. 1250 “On the transfer of weekends in 2018”. These regulatory legal acts are the basis for the formation of the production calendar for 2018 with weekends and holidays.

Non-working holidays in 2018 according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation

Non-working holidays in the Russian Federation are:

  • January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 – New Year;
  • January 7 – Christmas;
  • February 23 – Defender of the Fatherland Day;
  • March 8 – International Women's Day;
  • May 1 – Spring and Labor Day;
  • May 9 – Victory Day;
  • June 12 – Russia Day;
  • November 4 is National Unity Day.

As you can see, the weekends of January 6 and 7 (Saturday and Sunday) 2018, coinciding with non-working holidays, have been moved to March 9 and May 2, respectively. Rest days from Saturday 28 April, Saturday 9 June and Saturday 29 December have been moved to Monday 30 April, Monday 11 June and Monday 31 December respectively. Taking into account such transfers, the 2018 calendar includes six long weekends and holidays:

  • from December 30, 2017 to January 8, 2018 inclusive (10 days of the New Year holidays);
  • from February 23 to 25 (3 days on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day);
  • from March 8 to 11 (4 days - International Women's Day);
  • from April 29 to May 2 (4 days for the Spring and Labor Festival);
  • from June 10 to 12 (3 days to celebrate Russia Day);
  • from November 3 to 5 (3 days dedicated to National Unity Day).

Five-day and six-day working weeks: working hours in 2018

In 2018, everyone involved in the “five-day week” will work in the rhythm indicated above. For those working on a six-day week, March 9, April 30, June 11 and December 31, 2018 will remain working days, since the transfer of days off to these dates is planned from Saturdays that coincide with non-working holidays, and for the “six-day week” Saturday is not a day off. Therefore, the number of working days, weekends and holidays for these work modes in 2018 will vary.

Using the links you can download the production calendar for 2018 with a six-day working week in a format suitable for you. It shows the standard working hours for months, quarters and 2018 as a whole, as well as the number of working days and days off for a six-day work week with one day off.

Working hours standards in 2018

The standard working time for certain periods of time is calculated according to the estimated schedule of a five-day work week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday based on the following duration of daily work (shift):

  • with a 40-hour work week – 8 hours;
  • if the working week is less than 40 hours, the number of hours obtained by dividing the established working week by five days.

On the eve of non-working holidays, working hours are reduced by 1 hour (Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

So, for example, in January 2018, with a five-day work week with two days off, there are 17 working days and 14 days off. Therefore, the working hours in January 2018 in Goa are:

  • with a 40-hour work week – 136 hours (40 hours: 5 days × 17 days);
  • with a 36-hour work week – 122.4 hours (36 hours: 5 days × 17 days);
  • with a 24-hour work week – 81.6 hours (24 hours: 5 days × 17 days).

The production calendar for 2018 was compiled on the basis of Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated October 14, 2017 No. 1250 " "

How to calculate standard working hours in 2018 with a six-day working week

For organizations with a five-day and six-day work week, the calculation process is the same.

Attention! Companies with a six-day working week calculate the standard working hours in 2018 on a five-day basis.

However, if you multiply working days by working hours, the resulting number of working hours per month with a six-day week may not correspond to the number of working hours per month with a five-day week.

For example: Let's take October 2018. The standard working time this month for a five-day week is set at 184 hours.

And what happens with a six-day workday: (23 weekdays * 7 working hours) + (4 Saturdays * 5 working hours) = 181 hours.

What to do with discrepancies? You don't need to do anything with them. This is just a purely arithmetic discrepancy. According to Article 129, Article 99 and Article 91 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, where the concepts of salary and overtime work are spelled out, these discrepancies cannot in any way affect the employee’s salary. But the accountant of a company with a six-day schedule must keep accurate data.
